Plastic cards artwork specifications

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Hi All,

We have found over the past 6 months or so that customers often email artwork in which isn’t quite to the correct specifications. We have recently updated our artwork specifications for all the products we offer including the full colour solid plastic and frosted clear plastic cards. This is to try and help customers understand how to send the artwork in to us. This is to ensure that the customers obtain the best end result possible. Further details can be located at http://www.cpcards.co.uk/templates.html

If customers are unable to provide artwork to the correct specifications, we offer a design service where we take the customers ideas and put them in to a print ready format. If you require this service please email over as much information as you can e.g. logos, wording, colourings, layout etc and we will pop a quote back to you. Also please let us know the product and quantity you require so we can quote for everything for you.

We hope the new artwork specifications help. If you have any further improvements to recommend please drop us a line.

Bye for now

Plastic cards are pleasing people

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

We received a lovely email today from a customer who has just received delivery of there order. The order was for 500 frosted clear plastic cards with metallic dark blue ink on the front and clear ink on the back. I have probably mentioned this before but feel the need to say again, the clear ink gives a wonderful effect on the cards, the frosted cards are a little unusual / contemporary anyway however add the clear foil and they look even better.

The customers kind comments were – thank you for your help and your professional manner in which my order was dealt with.

A big thank you straight back to this customer for taking the time out of his day to say thank you.

plastic cards bureau personalisation service is very popular

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Hi All,

Our bureau personlisation service is proving to be very popular this month, we have had 5 new customers already. We may have to take on additional staff to cover the extra work.

Talking of the bureau service we have a long standing customer who first contacted us in early 2007 and have been a customer since then, wow 3 years has really gone by quickly. They typically order approx 30 cards each week and every now and again a large batch, presumable the larger batches occur due to a membership drive or alot of re-newals happening at the same time. From speaking to this customer our service really helps them to promote there membership scheme and ensures that members feel valued with a personlised card. Its also helpful for our customer as when there members phone up they usually have there membership number to hand as we also print this on the cards for them.

If you are interested in our bureau personlisation service more information and a quotation can be located at http://www.cpcards.co.uk/personalisation.html

Place your bureau order sooner rather than later in case we reach capacity.

Plastic cards, where has this week gone?

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Hi All,

Where has this week gone?! I guess thats what happens when your busy ……  time flies.

We have had a lot of orders for our frosted clear cards this week, with a lot of customers needing them very very quickly. unfortunately we can only please so many people however we do let customers know when they are looking to place an order whether we can meet there deadline.

One of the orders which was needed really quickly was a quantity of 250 frosted clear cards for a repeat customer with two ink colours. The order was placed on the Thursday 6th May and we dispatch the order on Tuesday 11th May.

Very very occasionally we have problems with the printing plates for the frosted clear cards which means the order will be delayed as the plate will need to be re-made. We explain this to any customer who have tight deadlined.  Luckily on the occasion mentioned about the printing plate was fine and the cards arrived safely with the customer. The customer phoned to confirm they had arrived safely and to express his appreciation. Its always nice when customers go out of there way to say thank you.

Bye bye for now.

Plastic cards with personalisation

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Hi All,

We have had a few orders for full colour solid plastic cards with personlisation recently.

In case you are not aware of what this means it is when the customers provides an excel file of variable data to be printed on the cards. Typically this will be a name and membership number but it can be pretty much anything the customer required. The only limit to the personlisation is the amount of text but if it physically fits on the cards we can print it on.

It is surprising how many customers don’t realise that we actually need the excel file when the order is placed. We load the excel file on to the printing plate when the order is placed so that the postal proofs are provided with the personlsation in place.

Unfortunately we have an order which is ready to proceed but the excel file is not ready and may not be ready for some weeks, which is a shame that the customer has concentrated so much on the artwork but does not have the variable data ready. We will obviously ensure the postal proof is dispatched asap for the customer on receipt of the excel file.

Bye for now.

Plastic cards helping with the recession

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Hi All,

A taxi company placed an order with us today for priority cards, when I spoke to the customer on the phone she mentioned that the cards are being used to try and get some more business in as the recession seems to now be affecting them.

We deal with various different membership, loyalty, discount cards etc day in day out so have a lot of experience in this area. I agreed with the lady I spoke to, we have found a lot of people not only ordering these cards not re-ordering them at a later date which shows that there is a benefit to them.

It is such a good idea to to use our full colour solid plastic cards to try and promote a business, offering a small discount or VIP perks really does member a member or in the above case customer feel valued.

Plastic cards special offer still on

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

Hello,

Wanted to post a quick blog to remind you all that our special offer for 100 or 200 full colour solid plastic cards are still available.

The offer is very cost effective especially as it is applicable to our thickness solid plastic card which is 760 microns in thickness.

You can order the thinner 420 micron if you want however there is no price difference, a lot of customer have ordered the 760 micron as they give a more professional image to the end user (even after initially enquiring about the 420 micron or the 680 micron come to think).

I can confirm that we will honor this offer until at least the end of May however no guarantees after this date.

Bye for now
