I posted an email recently about our bureau personlisation service and the problems encountered by the 13 customers who did not submit there excel files in time for a pre Christmas dispatch.

The cut off time and date this year was Monday 13th at 1pm.

Next year we have decided to extent the cut of time to 5pm on Tuesday 13th December, this way hopefully customers will be clear that by the end of the day there excel files need to be with us.

I think the 1pm afternoon cut off may have confused some people. Any other suggestions?

Hi All,

As many of our bureau customers know the last date for submitting your excel file has well and truly gone.

We had approx. 13 customers this year trying to submit excel files after the cut off date. We had to reject the files much to the disappointment of the customers however there is nothing we could do. We did advertise for approx. 2 months the cut off date and time.

Its quite frustrating for us, as we are working so hard to ensure as many customers as possible receive there orders before Christmas but unfortunately the customers who we could not satisfy e.g. the 13 mentioned above really have not helped this year, each and everyone send is 3 to 5 emails asking why and could we not do it just for them, eleven of these people also phoned to talk it through – not really what we need at this time of year! Imagine 15 mins per each of these customers for emails and phone calls – over 3 hours of time we could have been using to dispatch orders.

Hopefully next year these customers will remember the cut off date/time.

Hello All,

The blog is more of an announcement, as you are probably aware we offer a bureau personlisation service where we hold the plastic cards is stock and personlise them for the customer when new members join.
We are having a tidy up of the office store this week and next week and will be contacting customers who have not asked for any of there cards for 12 months or over. We will ask the customer if they would like any remaining cards to be posted to them or for us to destroy them.
We have had to make a decision that if a customer has not been in contact or submitted any excel files in the last 12 months that we will have to shred the cards.
In addition to this, if we receive email delivery failures and again the customer has not been in touch for 12 months or longer we will shred the cards.
If you think you have any cards sat in our stores please get in touch in the next week as we will happily post them out to you.

I have posted a blog recently regarding the bureau personalisation service new webpages. Another addition we have made is a tailored quote form for this service.

This quote form specifically mentioned the optional extras that are available with the service, namely,

Signature strips
Metallic gold or silver base cards
Magnetic strips(specifically without encoding)

At this point in time I am afraid that we can not encode the magnetic strips.

The form also asks the customer to clarify how often they wish to submit an excel file and approximately how many new members will be included in the excel file. This enables us to provide a tailors quotation for the customer based on there needs.

We hope that the new quote form helps to make quote requests for this products easier.

Examples of bureau personalisation

For our full colour plastic cards, we offer a bureau personalisation service.

This service enables customers to have plastic cards personalised with customers/members details as and when required.

So, for example, a golf club could order 1,000 plastic membership cards. We would hold the plastic cards in stock for them once they have been printed. Then maybe once a week, the customer will email an excel document to us which contains the details to be printed on the cards of the new members, for example:

- The members name

- The type of membership, full, junior etc.

- The members membership number

- The expiry date.

Once we have received the customers excel file, we will overprint the personalised details onto the cards and dispatch them within 3 working days.

This service is also useful if a member loses their card, their details can be submitted to us as normal when new cards are ordered.
