Christmas couriers

Friday, November 4th, 2011

Hello all,

I have just been thinking about the last order dates for Christmas plastic card orders, its such a difficult thing to plan. Despite us being able to dispatch some products very near to the big day and couriers collecting from us, its the delivery which can cause bit big problems. The courier companies at Christmas time have a lot more deliveries to cope with and as we found last year, they do not seem to cope at all and deliveries are made late or not at all!

So do we have an earlier cut off date for orders and possibly upset customers or have a later cut off date and spend most of the run up to Christmas on the phone to the couriers! Decisions decisions! Any thoughts?

Happy November

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

Hi All and Happy November, perhaps a chance to take stock of anything you wish to achieve during the rest of 2011. I know there are two months of the year left however how very quickly this year seems to have passed.

Its also time to start thinking about any plastic cards you require this  year. as we are closing in approximately 7 weeks for the Christmas break!

We will announce the last ordering dates for frosted clear plastic, satin black and full colour plastic cards nearer the time.

Bye for now

A busy week

Friday, October 7th, 2011

Hi All,

Its been a busy old week for us, still at the tail end of Colleges and freshers fairs which is standing joke in the office “its that time of year again”! You would not believe the number of customer who at the very very very last minute decided they needed plastic cards for an event or had been let down by another company. We helped where we could. The most popular product over this busy period was the full colour solid plastic cards 760 microns followed by our frosted plastic cards.

Hopefully we will have time for a lunch break next week!

Bye for now and Happy Friday

Happy Monday

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Hi all and Happy Monday!

This morning I thought to myself, its going to be quiet this week…well….how wrong could I be, lots of orders for full colour solid plastic cards, some membership cards, not so many frosted yet but I am sure there will be a few by the end of the week.

I hope the rest of the week isn’t quite so busy, I would like a lunch hour once this week please!

Lets all look forward to even happier Friday ;-)

Delivery problem

Thursday, September 8th, 2011

Hi All,

Oh dear a day of sorting out delivery problems down to various reasons. One customers comments, quite rightly are below for you to have a look at (this was for an order of the 760 micron full colour solid plastic cards) where the courier said that the property was closed and due to this they cold not deliver:

I am fine about the time it may take now for you to arrange the re-delivery, do
not worry about that, I understand that the cards are not in your possession
at the moment.

I am most grateful for you looking into this matter for me.

I am looking forward to hearing from you once you have heard from the
courier company.

I have no complaints about your service, but believe that the courier
company acted unprofessionally and negligently on this occasion.

Its nice of the customer to understand that the courier company is a third party company.

Bye for now – let see what tomorrow brings! As a final note, we have very very few problems with the courier company but when the occasional problem happens it seems to be very time consuming to get to the bottom of things!

Polite request

Monday, September 5th, 2011

Hi All,

This is a polite request to all Universities, colleges and schools who need plastic cards for the start of term, please please please order asap. The full colour solid plastic cards are very popular at this time of year and I imagine that we may well reach capacity for production in the next week or so.

Each and every year in September we have people coming to us who have been let down by another company, forgot all about ordering them, just decided it would be a good idea etc – does this apply to you?! If so order asap!

Thanks and bye for now

Cold weather

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

Hi All,

I heard on the news last night that it has been the coldest summer for approx 20 years!

Boo hoo I hear you all say! … yey :) says I !

One of the worst things I can think off it sitting in the office preparing quotes for plastic cards whilst feeling I am going to pass out with the heat, ok may be a small exaggeration but I am sure you can understand what I mean.

On top of this you have the lack of sleep from the humid nights so this equates to a unhappy workforce definitely not what we want.

I guess air conditioning would be the way forward but not environmentally friendly :-(

Better get back to processing customers orders, bye for now.

English Tourism

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Hello all,

A recent review on tourisum in the UK has seen an increase of three percent in relation to admissions last year. From a personal point I know less holidays are being taken and this is the same for my friends and family so people obviously want ways to entertain themselves and their family.

We have seen an increase in plastic cards (mainly the full colour 760 micron cards) for use with tourist attractions, this has been for all sorts of attractions from small farms to large abbeys.

Hopefully a positive during this prolonged recession will be that our English tourist attractions will benefit financially allowing for improvements to be made to encourage more visitors.

Bye for now and hope you take time out for a trip out this weekend.

Bank holiday over

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

Hi all and welcome back to work after the nice long bank holiday weekend. Sorry to be depressing but no more bank holidays until Christmas :-(

I have a feeling we are going to be quiet this week on full colour plastic cards and frosted plastic cards, most sensible people use the bank holidays as a week off as only 4 days holiday are used up.

Keep us busy this week please!

Bye for now
