Loyalty cards assist with weight loss
On 1st January 2009 plastic cards (loyalty cards) will assist people in the Manchester Area with weight loss.
Residents who goto keep-fit classes or weight loss clubs or go for a jog in the local park will beĀ eligibleĀ to receive rewards.
The rewards will be given as points added to a plastic loyalty card (similar to a plastic video store card or a supermarket loyalty card). The points can then be redeemed against healthy food, sports equipment or sessions in a gym.
If the scheme is successful in Manchester it will be extended across the UK.
Even walking children to the bus stop or train station is awarded with points.

I do not as a rule post to a blog however I liked this post therefore I felt compelled to do so. Going off the topic somewhat, what do you think about walking? Which is generally being put forward as the best exercise to burn fat.

Well, I’m no fitness/weight loss expert but I guess walking is something we can all do and if you do it for long enough and keep in the ‘fat burning zone’ (I believe there are 3 zones) then yes, walking can be a good way to burn fat.
Information on the fat burning zone can be found here http://www.brianmac.co.uk/fatburn.htm

Great post again mate. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there. Losing weight doesn’t have to be hard yet mose people fail to realize the basics, a plastic card with help on is a great idea.
