We
have been printing plastic cards for many years now and we have always
found that membership cards have always accounted for the majority
of the cards that we produce. A plastic card is well suited to be a
membership card as they are extremely durable and can have all the
optional extras that may be required such as a magnetic strip (either
encoded or left blank). Sequential numbering which can be flat embossed
(just like a credit card) or flat printed. Barcodes, signature strip/write
on panels etc.
We have produced membership cards for angling clubs - golf clubs - karate
clubs - boxing clubs - dance clubs - night clubs - clay pigeon
shooting clubs - snooker clubs - pool clubs - archery clubs - shooting
clubs - gym and fitness clubs - car clubs (mazda, audi etc) - diving
clubs - fishing clubs - sailing clubs - cycling clubs ... the list
is almost endless.
We find that for most membership card orders the
customer supplies the artwork ready to print. Ocassionally we fix the artwork
(free of charge) if there are minor technical errors. However, we can also
create the artwork for a membership card from scratch. All we need is the
information emailing to us that is to be included within the membership
card design along with any logos or photographs and our design studio will
then create the membership card design and email a photo-realistic proof
to you for approval.
We also found our bureau personalision service is very popular with the
membership cards that we produce. When a customer orders, for example 1,000
membership cards, we will print them (often with a signature strip) and
then hold them in stock.
Then, maybe once a week or one per month the customer will email an excel
file to us which includes all the details for the new members, these details
are to be over printed by us onto their membership cards.
For example, the following information may be required to be printed on
the membership cards:
1. The members name, for example John Smith
2. The members membership number, for example 0924
3.
The expiry date (which may be 12 months after they have joined),
for example 28th May 2009
4. The
type of membership, for example, Full member or Senior Member.
Once we have received the file, our bureau personalisation office will
overprint the customers membership cards and post them out (usually by
Royal mail recorded delivery) within 3 working days.
