Annual Pass Cards
An annual pass holder comes back, and when they bring friends, the friends pay on the gate. The card they show at the entrance has to scan first time, carry the right name and look good enough to keep.
CP Cards prints annual pass and season pass cards for visitor attractions, farm parks, gardens, museums, zoos and heritage sites. Manufactured in England since 1992.
Scanning at the gate
If your ticketing system scans passes, we print the barcode it expects, in Code 39 or Code 128, or a QR code, with a unique number on every card. We can post you a printed proof card so you can test it on your own scanners before the full run.
Names, pass types and expiry dates
Passes can be printed with the holder’s name, pass type (adult, child, family, concession) and expiry date from a spreadsheet. Passes are sold every day, though, so it is usually simpler to print the barcoded cards in one run and add names as they sell, using our bureau personalisation service.
Colour coding by pass type helps the gate team. Where a pass is not transferable, photoseals add the holder’s photo.
Key fob passes
A 54 x 29mm key fob pass lives on the holder’s car keys, so it is with them when they arrive. A combo card gives them both: a wallet card and a snap-off key fob carrying the same number.

Annual passes and Gift Aid
For charity-run attractions, HMRC’s Gift Aid guidance says a right of admission is not treated as a benefit to the donor if it gives admission for at least a year at the times the public can visit, or if the visitor pays at least 10% more than the normal admission price. Charity attractions use this to sell annual passes on a Gift Aid basis.
The conditions are specific, so read chapter 3 of HMRC’s detailed guidance and take advice on your own scheme.
Why plastic passes
An annual pass is handed over at the gate on every visit for a year. A paper pass creases through the barcode and stops scanning. On a PVC card the barcode is printed under the card surface, so it stays flat and readable until the pass expires.

Printed for attractions across the UK
Annual passes are printed alongside the membership cards and event passes we produce for clubs, venues and attractions. Every order has a free photorealistic proof by email, and a posted proof card is available for testing barcodes on your own gate scanners.
