Parking Permit Printing
A photocopied permit on the dashboard is easy to copy and hard to check. A numbered plastic permit in this year’s colour tells whoever patrols the car park, from a few feet away, whether the car belongs there.
CP Cards prints parking permits for workplaces, schools, churches, residents’ associations and private car park operators. Manufactured in England since 1992.
Making permits hard to copy
- A unique sequential number on every permit, so each one can be logged against a holder or a vehicle
- A metallic foil mark, which a photocopier or home printer cannot reproduce
- A different background colour every year, so last year’s permits stand out
- A write-on panel for the registration, which takes an ordinary pen
None of these makes a permit impossible to fake. Together they make a fake easy to spot. The optional extras page covers each one in detail.
Dashboard permits and hanging permits
Standard permits are 86 x 54mm, the size of a bank card, and sit on the dashboard or in a windscreen holder. For a permit that hangs from the rear-view mirror, we punch a 15 x 3mm slot or a 5mm hole for your hanger. Hangers are not supplied.
If you want something larger that is easier to read through the glass, our 70 x 100mm pass size works as a portrait permit.
Personalised permits
If each permit should carry a registration, a name or a bay number, send the details in a spreadsheet and every permit is printed with its own. For schemes where people join through the year, our bureau personalisation service holds your printed permits in stock and personalises them as you send us new names.

Keeping a permit list that works
If a contractor enforces your car park, they will ask for a list of valid permit numbers. Sequential numbering makes that list simple to produce and simple to keep up to date: when a permit is lost or a member of staff leaves, cancel the number and tell the contractor.
Reissue on a fixed date each year, in a new colour. Anyone still displaying the old colour a week later is either very forgetful or no longer entitled to park.
Why plastic permits last the year
Paper permits curl and fade on a sunny dashboard within weeks, and laminated ones last until the laminate starts to lift. A PVC permit keeps its colour because the print sits under the card surface, and it survives a year of being dropped in footwells and moved between cars.

Printed for workplaces and car park operators
Parking permits sit alongside the membership cards and event passes we print for organisations across the UK. Every order starts with a free photorealistic email proof, and a posted proof card is available if you want to see the foil mark in your hand before the full run.
