Shoot Peg Cards

A peg card is handed to every gun after the draw and checked in the rain before each drive. Printed on plastic, it survives the day and goes back in the box for the next one.

CP Cards prints peg cards, drive cards and shoot information cards for sporting estates, syndicates and shoot managers. Manufactured in England since 1992.

One card for each draw

The usual layout is one card per number drawn. Card 3, say, lists the peg that gun stands on at each drive, with guns moving up two pegs between drives on many shoots, or whatever rotation your shoot uses. Print a full set once and it works for every shoot day that uses the same drives.

What else fits on the card

  • The order of the drives, with their names
  • Safety reminders, and whether ground game is to be shot
  • The shoot captain’s mobile number
  • A small map of the drives or the estate crest on the reverse
  • A write-on panel for the day’s bag, which takes an ordinary pen

A card to take home

Some estates give each gun a card to keep as a record of the day. A full colour card with the estate crest and a photograph of the house or the ground can go in the same order as the peg cards.

How to Order

  1. Tell us the number of pegs and your drive rotation
  2. Send the estate crest, drive names, map and wording
  3. Approve a free digital proof, checking every peg number
  4. Cards printed and dispatched in 7 working days from proof approval and payment

Minimum order 25 cards — enough for two full sets of ten pegs with spares. Standard turnaround 7 working days from proof approval and payment.

Safety on the card

The Code of Good Shooting Practice, backed by the main UK shooting and countryside organisations, sets out how a shoot day should be run, including the safety briefing before the first drive. A peg card does not replace the briefing, but printing the key rules on it means every gun has them in a pocket at the peg.

Why plastic peg cards

Shoot days are wet. A paper peg card is pulp by the third drive, and a laminated one splits at the corners after a season in a cartridge bag. A PVC card wipes clean at the end of the day and goes back in the box with the rest of the set.

Printed for estates and shooting clubs

Peg cards are printed alongside the shooting club membership cards we produce for clay and rifle clubs across the UK. You approve a free photorealistic proof before we print, and our design team can lay out the peg grid if you send us your rotation.

Peg Card FAQs

Can each peg card show a different peg for every drive?

Yes. Each card is printed with its own peg order, so one set covers every gun on the day.

Can we reuse the peg cards?

Yes. If your drives and rotation stay the same, a printed set can be used on every shoot day of the season.

Are the cards waterproof?

Yes. They are solid PVC with the print sealed under the surface, so rain does not damage them.

Can we write the bag on the card?

Yes. A write-on panel can be added that takes an ordinary pen.
