Watch Certification Cards

A watch worth buying deserves a certificate worth keeping. A paper certificate gets creased in the box and lost in a drawer. A rigid plastic card the size of a bank card stays with the watch for life, and goes with it when the watch is sold on. CP Cards supplies plastic watch certification cards to watch dealers, independent watchmakers and watch brands, numbered and made in England, with a free photorealistic proof before anything is printed.

What goes on a watch certification card

Everything a buyer, an insurer or the next owner will want to check, on one card that lives with the watch:

  • Watch brand, model and reference number
  • Case serial number and movement (calibre)
  • Year of manufacture, or date of purchase
  • Your business name, as the dealer, watchmaker or brand
  • Warranty period and expiry date
  • Condition grade, for pre-owned watches
  • A unique certificate number

Printed for every watch, or filled in when it sells

Printed for every watch. If you know the details in advance, as a brand shipping a batch of numbered watches does, send us a spreadsheet. Each card is individually printed with its own model, serial number and certificate number as part of one production run.

Filled in at the point of sale. If you sell one watch at a time, we print your cards with a certificate number already on each one, plus write-on panels that take an ordinary pen. When a watch sells, you write in the model, serial number and date, sign it, and the card goes in the box. Write-on panels read best on a light area of the design, so we'll lay yours out with that in mind.

Certificate of authenticity, warranty card or service record

The same card does different jobs depending on who hands it over:

  • Pre-owned and vintage watch dealers: a certificate of authenticity for each watch you sell, with your warranty terms on the reverse.
  • Independent watchmakers and repairers: a service record that travels with the watch, with the service date, the work carried out and when the next service is due.
  • Watch brands and microbrands: a numbered warranty card in every box, with a QR code that takes the owner to your online registration page.

Harder to copy

A certificate only means something if it can't easily be faked. Several features make our cards harder to copy, and they work best together:

  • A unique number on every card, matched to your own sales or service records.
  • A different QR code on every card, linking to that watch's record or a verification page on your website.
  • Gold or silver foiling, which gives the impression of a security mark and helps deter cards from being replicated.
  • Your signature on a write-on panel, so no two cards are the same once they're signed.

A card that looks as good as the watch

A premium watch needs a card that looks the part. Choose satin black cards or gold and silver metallic cards with foil printing, or a full colour design with a Premium Matt finish and gold foil on your logo. Our in-house design team can set up the artwork for you if you'd like a hand.

Why plastic beats a paper certificate

A watch certificate needs to last as long as the watch, and an owner may keep a watch for decades. Paper creases, tears and fades, and a laminated paper card peels at the corners. A plastic card 760 microns thick, the same as a bank card, stays flat and readable in the box or a wallet. On full colour cards, the print is sealed under clear PVC so it can't wear off.

How to Order

  1. Tell us how many cards you need, and whether each one is printed with its own details or filled in at the point of sale
  2. Send your logo, your wording and any warranty terms for the reverse
  3. Approve a free photorealistic proof
  4. Cards printed and dispatched in 7 working days from proof approval and payment

Watch Certification Card FAQs

Can every card have its own certificate number?

Yes. We print a sequential number on every card, starting from whatever number you choose, or we can print the exact numbers from an Excel list you send us.

Can you print each watch's serial number on its card?

Yes. Send us a spreadsheet and every card is individually printed with its own model, serial number and certificate number. If you sell one watch at a time, we can print the cards with write-on panels for you to fill in at the point of sale instead.

Can we write on the cards?

Yes. Write-on panels take an ordinary pen, so you can add the model, serial number, date of sale and your signature by hand. We can't print onto the panel itself, but wording such as "Serial No." can be printed beside it.

Can each card have a QR code?

Yes. Every card can carry the same QR code, or a different one linking to each watch's own record or registration page. We recommend a QR code at least 15mm across.

Can the card look as premium as the watch?

Yes. Choose satin black or metallic gold and silver cards with foil printing, or a full colour card with a Premium Matt finish and gold or silver foiling on your logo.

What size are the cards?

Standard credit card size, 86 x 54mm, so they fit in a wallet or alongside the watch in its box.

What is the minimum order?

25 cards, so a small batch or a limited edition run is no problem.
