Squash Club Membership Card Printing
CP Cards have been supplying Squash Club membership cards to UK clubs and organisations for over 30 years.
Every card is printed here in England, no overseas production and delays.
Orders start from just 25 cards, free delivery is included as standard, and we'll email you a photorealistic proof before anything goes to print.
Squash clubs typically use membership cards to manage court booking systems, since many venues require members to book and check in with a card before a court will be released. Clubs running ladder leagues often colour-code or annotate cards by division, and some print a member's current ranking or league position on the card. Governing-body affiliation is also commonly noted for members who compete in inter-club or county leagues.

Squash Club Membership Cards printed
The defining feature of squash club life is the box league, and it changes every month — which is exactly why it should not be printed on the card. Getting that decision right is most of the design work.
Solid PVC, full colour on both sides, free delivery within Great Britain, from 25 cards, with barcodes matched to whatever your booking system reads.
There are squash club membership card examples below, and the full specification is on our membership card printing page.
What to Print on a Squash Club Membership Card
Club name, member name, membership number and category — full, off-peak, junior, student, or a combined racket-sports membership — cover the front, along with the year. The membership number is the field doing the work, because it is what most court booking systems key on, so it wants to be readable across a desk or over a phone.
The reverse suits court booking arrangements, the cancellation policy, club night times and guest court fees. Cancellation rules in particular are worth printing: they are the source of most of the friction in a club that books courts in advance.
There is one thing we would advise against printing, and it is the one clubs ask about most: the box league division. Squash clubs live by their ladders, but divisions change every month, and a card printed with a division is out of date before the member has finished putting it in their wallet. Better to leave it off and handle it another way.
Racket Bags and a Card Used Twice a Week
Squash is played indoors all year round, which means there is no off-season in which a card gets a rest. Two games a week is a hundred or so handovers at a reception desk in a year, and between them the card sits in a racket bag — effectively a sealed, humid box containing a wet kit.
Printed paper cards go soft and fuzzy in that within a couple of months, and the membership number is normally the first thing to become hard to read. Laminated cards last longer until the seal lifts at a corner.
Our squash club cards are 760-micron solid PVC with the design sealed beneath the surface rather than laminated on top. There is no film, nothing to lift, and the print cannot be rubbed away by a racket grip or a shoe sharing the bag. A matt finish is worth considering, since a card handled this often shows fingerprints on gloss.
Booking Systems, Ladders and Other Options
If your cards need to work with a booking system, settle the barcode format before we print. Code39 — also called 3 of 9 — is the most widely supported, and Code128 and EAN5 are also available. One question to your booking software or leisure centre provider saves the possibility of a reprint.
For the box league, a QR code is the answer. It needs to be square and at least 15mm to scan reliably, and pointed at your own ladder page it gives every member the current divisions on their phone, updated as often as you like, with the card never going out of date. Where a club would rather stay off-line, a signature strip does the same job in pen — write the current division on, wipe and rewrite next month.
Beyond that, colour coding by category tells the desk what it needs at a glance, and sequential numbering keeps the cards aligned with your membership register. Numbering can be printed in any CMYK colour, matched to your club colours if you want it to look designed in rather than added on.
Squash Club Membership Card Examples
The squash club cards below are mostly clean and
functional, built around the membership number because that is what a booking system
keys on.
What is worth copying is how they handle the ladder — a QR code or a write-on
strip rather than a printed division. Send us your club name and we will do the same.
Get your Quotation Now!
For a squash club the quote depends on the barcode and the category split. Full,
off-peak, junior, student and combined racket-sports memberships is five variants of
one design.
Establish which barcode format your booking system or leisure centre reads before you
ask, and the quote comes back complete rather than provisional.

Design Service
Club name and a colour scheme?
Enough to work from. Our Design Service
builds the card for just £29 +vat
We will create or tidy a club mark, set the membership number so it can be read
across a desk or given over a phone, and put the court booking and cancellation
rules on the reverse — cancellation being where most club friction comes from.
You approve it before printing.
Artwork Fixing Service
Squash clubs often share premises with a leisure centre or a racket club, and the
artwork that arrives is sometimes the venue’s rather than the club’s
— which causes confusion later about whose card it is.
We will flag that, and correct sizing, bleed, barcode placement and colour-mode
issues under our artwork fixing service for
just £10 +vat.
Free Photorealistic Email Proof
To give you complete confidence before we go to print, we’ll email you a
free, high-quality, computer-generated photorealistic proof of your full colour plastic Squash Club membership cards.
This realistic mock-up shows how your finished Squash Club membership cards will look, so you can check and approve the layout, text and overall design before production begins.
Fast Production Time

Squash is played all year but club membership usually renews against the start of the
box league season in early autumn.
Production is 7 working days from proof
approval, with a 4 working day express option,
printed in England.
Order in August so that cards are in hands for the first round of boxes, which is
when everyone is at the club anyway and handing them out takes one evening.
Free Delivery
FREE DELIVERY within Great Britain on any
quantity.
Where a squash club runs inside a leisure centre there is usually a staffed reception
that will take a parcel, but the box can then sit in an office until somebody thinks
to mention it.
Most clubs send cards to the secretary at home for that reason. Plain, unbranded
packaging with no paperwork inside.
Made in England
Where membership categories are colour-coded, consistency across reorders is what
keeps the coding useful to whoever is on the desk.
A card printed this season and one printed two seasons ago are both being handed
over this week, and the person checking is reading colour. Every run of yours comes
off the same press from the same stock.
Artwork stays on file, so reorders are a date and a quantity.
Recyclable Material

Squash clubs reissue annually and turn over students and casual members steadily, so
there is a regular flow of cards being replaced.
Ours are solid PVC and can be recycled
where facilities accept PVC,
which laminated cards cannot.
Biodegradable cards print and scan
identically if the club would rather avoid PVC.
Optional Extras
Two extras suit squash clubs.
A QR code — square, at least 15mm — pointing at your
ladder page means divisions can change monthly without the card ever going out of
date. And a signature strip, typically 75mm x 8mm, lets a club
officer write this month’s division on in pen if you would rather stay offline.
Barcodes and magnetic strips handle court
booking.
Our vast range of optional extras combined with our competitive prices and fast, friendly service makes us a market leader which keeps our customers returning time after time as well as recommending us.
The majority of cards that we print have a signature strip and also a unique number which is usually sequential however you can supply an Excel document and we can print the details from the document onto the cards so each one has unique details. For example, their name, membership number, expiry date, level of membership etc.

Bureau Personalisation Service

Squash clubs pick up members through the season, and student memberships in
particular arrive in October rather than August.
Our Bureau Personalisation Service covers the
stragglers. We hold your printed stock; you email new names and we print and post the
cards
within 3 working days.
New members can enter the boxes with a proper card rather than waiting for the next
annual order.
A Plastic Card to Approve
If the card releases a court, take a printed one to the desk and try it.
That is a thirty-second test that answers the only question that really matters
— whether the venue’s scanner reads your barcode — and it is not a
question an emailed proof can settle.
We will print one from your artwork and post it to you.
Artwork Specifications & Guides
Two guide points for a squash card.
Do not print the division. Boxes change monthly; a printed division is
out of date before the card is in a wallet. Use a QR code or a write-on strip.
Barcode quiet zones. Clear space either side, away from the card edge,
or it will read inconsistently at the desk.

How to Order your Membership Cards
Usually the club secretary or the person running the boxes, in August.
Send the club name or logo, category numbers, and the barcode format your booking
system reads. Approve the emailed proof and the cards arrive for the first round. We
keep the artwork so next August is one email.

Squash Club Membership Card FAQs
Can squash club cards work with our court booking system?
Yes. We print Code39 (3 of 9), Code128 and EAN5 barcodes and fit magnetic strips. Ask your booking software or leisure centre provider which format their reader expects before we print.
Can cards be colour-coded or annotated by league division?
Colour coding by membership category works well. For divisions we would suggest a QR code or a signature strip instead, since box leagues change monthly and a printed division dates immediately.
Can the card show a member's league ranking?
Not usefully as printed text, because rankings move. A QR code pointing at your ladder page keeps it current, and a signature strip lets you write this month's division on in pen.
What's the minimum order?
25 cards, so a club can order for its current members rather than buying stock that will sit in a drawer.
What size does a QR code need to be?
Square, and at least 15mm, to scan reliably from a phone. It can hold a website address, an email address or a phone number, and it can be different on every card.
Should we choose gloss or matt?
Matt suits squash club cards, since they are handed over a reception desk a hundred or so times a year and gloss shows every fingerprint. Premium matt adds £20 +vat per order; high gloss is included.
Will the cards survive living in a racket bag?
Yes. They are 760-micron solid PVC with the print sealed beneath the surface, so the humid bag that softens a paper card within a couple of months does nothing to them.
Can the membership number match our existing register?
Yes. Supply an Excel file with the exact numbers you want, or give us a start number and we will run on sequentially from it.
