Text size

Text of any size can be printed, however if it is smaller than around 6pt some people may have difficulty reading it.

Any text that is smaller than 12pt or is a very thin or fine font should be made up of one colour from the CMYK palette, for example:
100% C or 100% M or 100% Y or 100% K

Signature strips

It is not possible to have any printing or wording on the signature strip or write on panel. Instead, any wording should be positioned above, below or to the side.

The maximum width of a signature strip or write on panel is 75mm.

A good size for a simple signature strip is 75mm x 8mm.

You may need a number of smaller write on panels on a card, just ensure that they are not too small to be able to easily write within.

Flat printed sequential numbering or personalisation

We normally use Times New Roman or Arial fonts. They can be any size or colour from the CMYK palette, other fonts may be available.

Embossing

Embossing can be either 5mm or 3mm high - the same as the embossing on a credit card. The tipping can be metallic gold or silver. It is only possible to have embossing in the bottom half.

Magnetic strips

We can apply LOCO or HICO magnetic strips with or without encoding.

Barcodes

We can apply sequential barcodes (we usually use code39) with human readable numbering if required.

Metallic foiling

We are able to apply a metallic gold or silver foiling to one side or both sides.

Hole or slot punching

A euro slot can be punched in the centre of a card edge which is 5mm in from the edge. We can also punch a 4mm diameter hole which is 5mm in from the edge.
